What is the ICT

            It means a lot if we definition, just for the add our knowladge, information is information, communication is step for share the information and technology is media will be helped to share the information. The definition of ICT has a broad meaning regarding all activities related to the sharing, management, and transfer or so-called transfer of information. when we learn about ICT, we'll also learn about ICT IN ELT, that is the activities of using technology, such as computer, internet, and another telecommunication (radio, TV, Smartphone) to communicate create and disseminate, store and manage information in English language teaching and learning. There are some ICT in ELT we should know

• TPACK (Technology Pedagogical Content Knowledge)
• SAMR (Substitution Augmentation Modification Redefinition) 

            Use the ICT in ELT can divide into two group, that is ICT Tools and ICT Application. ICT Tools commonly known as a Hardware like, Computer, Smartphone, LCD Projector, Interactive whiteboard, act. And ICT Application we have known as a software namely internet, website, social media, act. ICT in ELT have the activity learning as usual. 

Advantages use ICT 

1. ICT provides more teaching-learning material resources for teachers and student 
2. ICT increase student critical and creative thinking and accommodate collaborative learning
3. ICT promotes autonomous learning
4. ICT improves student and teachers' digital literacy skills
5. ICT increaser teachers and students' positive attitude to technology application
6. ICT enhances students' motivation in learning 
7. ICT give easiness and flexibility for long distance learning (remote teaching)
8. ICT creates paperless/ eco-friendly teaching and learning environment

Disadvantage use ICT

1. Low teachers' knowledge and attitude toward ICT in ELT
2. Unmotivated students in autonomous learning
3. Insufficient policy and institutional
4. Incomplete facility and technological support of ICT
5. Health issue
6.  High cost and maintenance
